学术报告:Defining the molecular basis of oncogenic effect of 

RUNX1 fusion proteins in acute myeloid leukemia

  浙江大学血液病研究所所长和医学院党委书记黄河教授,于2018年4月26日邀请了加州大学圣地亚哥分校Dong-Er Zhang教授进行学术报告。届时,将在浙江大学紫金港校区生命科学学院大楼245室14点举行学术报告,题目“Defining the molecular basis of oncogenic effect of RUNX1 fusion proteins in acute myeloid leukemia”。届时欢迎各位踊跃参加。本次活动由浙江大学血液病研究所,浙江大学干细胞与转化医学联盟和干细胞与细胞免疫治疗浙江省工程实验室共同举办。


Introduction

Dr. Dong-Er Zhang is a professor in the Department of Pathology, University of California San Diego. Her research interest has been focused on the molecular mechanisms of normal hematopoiesis and the development of related diseases. She has served as the principal investigator in research grants from the NIH, DOD, and ACS. She also serves as a co-leader of the Cancer Biology and Signaling Program in the Moores UCSD Cancer Center and a member of the Board of Scientific Counselors of Basic Sciences of National Cancer Institute of National Institutes of Health in USA.


Contributions to Science

1. Discover the synergistic activation of myeloid specific gene expression by transcription factors   RUNX1, C/EBPα, and PU.1

2.Reveal the important role of isoforms of RUNX1 in blood cell differentiation and malignancies.

3. Elucidate the dichotomy role of the t(8;21) fusion protein RUNX1-ETO in leukemogenesis.

4. Identify and analyze the protein ISGylation system.

5. Discover USP18/UBP43 as a negative feedback regulator in interferon signaling.
